General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)
GNM or General Nursing Midwifery is a three-year diploma course designed for aspirants pursuing a career in clinical nursing. The GNM curriculum prepares students to serve as competent members of the healthcare team, starting with skills for first level positions in all types of health care organizations. The scheme is designed to enable qualified applicants to address the health needs of the country, community and individuals. They can also pursue advanced study and expertise in nursing while contributing to the health-based industry with patience, responsibility and commitment.
Eligibility Criteria
• Candidates for admission GNM should have passed 10+2 with English as one subject and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board.
• Candidates are eligible with registered ANM with pass mark
• Candidates 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing council.
• Candidates minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st December 2022). The upper age limit is 35 years.
• Candidates shall be medically fit for the course
