Student Scholarship

Our college proudly provides access to all types of scholarships offered by both the West Bengal government and the Central government. These scholarships are designed to support students from diverse backgrounds, helping to ease the financial burden of education. The college assists students in applying for merit-based, need-based, minority, and special category scholarships, including schemes like the Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, Central Sector Scholarship, Post-Matric Scholarships, and many others. By facilitating these opportunities, the college ensures that every eligible student can benefit from government financial aid, promoting inclusivity and encouraging academic excellence.

1. The Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM)

 The Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM) is a flagship initiative by the Government of West Bengal aimed at providing financial assistance to meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This scholarship supports students from Class 11 through postgraduate levels, including various professional and technical courses.

Eligibility Criteria

General Requirements
Domicile: Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.

Family Income: Annual family income should not exceed ₹2,50,000 (₹2.5 lakh).

Course Mode: Only regular (full-time) courses are eligible; distance education is not covered.

Previous Qualification: Must have passed the last qualifying examination in 2024, 2023, 2022, or 2021.

Other Scholarships: Students already receiving other government scholarships for the same course are not eligible.

2. OASIS Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

The OASIS (Online Application for Scholarship in Studies) Scholarship is a government initiative by the Backward Classes Welfare and Tribal Development Departments of West Bengal. It aims to provide financial assistance to students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) to support their education from Class 9 through postgraduate levels.

Eligibility Criteria

Domicile: Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.

Academic Performance: Generally, a minimum of 50% marks in the previous qualifying examination is required.

Income Limit: Annual family income must not exceed:

SC/ST: ₹2,50,000

OBC: ₹1,00,000

Course Type: Applicable for regular (full-time) courses only; distance education is not covered.

Other Scholarships: Students already receiving other government scholarships for the same course are not eligible

3.The Aikyashree Scholarship

The Aikyashree Scholarship is a government initiative by the West Bengal Minorities’ Development & Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) aimed at providing financial assistance to students from minority communities pursuing education from Class 1 to Ph.D. levels. This scholarship supports students in various educational stages, including pre-matric, post-matric, and merit-cum-means categories.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class 1–10)
Eligibility: Students from Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, and Jain communities.

Academic Requirement: Minimum 50% marks in the previous final examination.

Income Limit: Annual family income should not exceed ₹2,00,000.
